Stefan Dekker MSc. studied Biochemistry at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences and Biomolecular Sciences at VU University Amsterdam. He obtained his Master’s degree in 2012 with specializations in chemical biology and molecular cell biology. In April 2013, Dekker started his PhD research in the Molecular Toxicology research group of Prof. dr. Nico Vermeulen. His project involves the characterization of human bioactivating and bioinactivating enzymes involved in metabolism of drugs causing idiosyncratic liver toxicity. This PhD position is part of the MIP-DILI consortium, aiming to develop improved methods for the prediction of drug-induced liver injury.
